The Life Of Fidel Castro: Revolutionist Gone at 90

There is no better description than the word ‘revolutionary’ for the 90-year-old Cuban leader.
With the death of Fidel Castro, the last of the iconic revolutionary figures of the 20th century is now no more. The word, “revolutionary” is a bit too easily bandied out these days to describe leaders, but there is no better description to encapsulate the 90-year-old Cuban leader’s life and achievements.

And if you want to do what you can to make sure you die later rather than sooner, there are all kinds of changes you can make.

Love Letter to First Lady, Mitchelle Obama By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie:

She had rhythm, a flow and swerve, hands slicing air, body weight moving from foot to foot, a beautiful rhythm. In anything else but a black American body, it would have been contrived. The three-quarter sleeves of her teal dress announced its appropriateness, as did her matching brooch. But the cut of the dress scorned any “future first lady” stuffiness; it hung easy on her, as effortless as her animation. And a brooch, Old World style accessory, yes, but hers was big and ebulliently shaped and perched center on her chest. Michelle Obama was speaking.

Britain has voted to leave the EU – what happens next?

The UK’s historic decision to end its 43-year love-hate relationship with the European Union represents a turning point in British history to rank alongside the two world wars of the 20th century.

On the assumption there is no turning back, or collective buyer’s remorse, Britain will live with the political, constitutional, diplomatic and economic consequences for a decade or more.

The pin on the atlas marking the UK’s place in the world has shifted, just as the centres of power in the UK polity. All the familiar points of authority in London society – Downing Street, big business, economic expertise, the foreign policy establishment – have been spurned by the equivalent of a popular cluster bomb.

So what happens next?

The influential Congolese music star Papa Wemba has died after collapsing on stage in Abidjan in Ivory Coast, media reports say.

Opinion: Frank Edward's Frankincense To God

Frankincense is a white resin or gum. It is obtained from a tree by making incisions in the bark and allowing the gum to flow out. It is highly fragrant when burned and was therefore used in worship, where it was burned as a pleasant offering to God.

Before the very essence of this album review, let’s find out why the three wise men brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to baby Jesus.

The Bible tells us that the magi, or wise men, travelled from the East in search of the Christ child. They inquired of King Herod where they might find Him, saying, "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him". Upon finding the baby Jesus, “they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh”

Nurse Reveals Top 5 Regrets People Make on Their Deathbed

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives.
People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality. I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.
When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

John Legend Is Now a Daddy

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Their baby girl is here! Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their first child together. The couple welcomed a daughter on Thursday, April 14.
"She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you!" Teigen captioned a photo on Instagram, which clocks their daughter's weight in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces. "And sleepy. Very sleepy."

The Adventures of Fulani Herdsmen and Buhari’s Loud Silence! – By Efe Wanogho

Since flag independence in 1960, and more specifically, since return to Civilian Rule in 1999; no Nigerian leader has taken far-reaching and indelible steps to strengthen national unity. NONE!

If we don’t first tackle the elusive issue of nation building, whatever growth initiatives by successive administrations would be sham, pretentious, and merely peripheral. Today, decades after the physical exit of the colonialists, Nigeria is still an amalgam of strange bedfellows.
