WAEC registrar didn’t insult Finance Minister

THE West African Examination Council (WAEC) has denied reports by some online media platforms, which alleged that the council’s Registrar, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, threw jabs at the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, by offering her a free arithmetic course.

THE Economic and Fi­nancial Crimes Commis­sion, (EFCC) has arrested another senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) National Working Committee, Uche Secondus.
Secondus, deputy na­tional chairman of the party, was allegedly ar­rested on Tuesday by the anti-corruption agency.

The affected former heads of universities were those appointed when 13 new universities were created by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Illegal Ivory trafficker Arrested in Cameroon

 

Illegal Ivory trafficker was arrested in Bertoua in the East region of Cameroon over illegal marketing of ivory and pangolin scales. The 43-year-old man was arrested this week in an operation conducted by agents of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife of the East in collaboration with the police. The Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA) provided technical assistance during the operation.
