The Academic Staff Union of (ASUU) tuesday took a swipe at the 2016 budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari, declaring that the appropriation bill was a ‘big failure’ in many ways.

In one fell swoop penultimate Saturday, the Federal Government announced the sack of Vice-chancellors of 13 federal universities. They were immediately replaced. The affected former heads of universities were those appointed when 13 new universities were created by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Illegal Ivory trafficker Arrested in Cameroon
Illegal Ivory trafficker was arrested in Bertoua in the East region of Cameroon over illegal marketing of ivory and pangolin scales. The 43-year-old man was arrested this week in an operation conducted by agents of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife of the East in collaboration with the police. The Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA) provided technical assistance during the operation.
